Our Data
Trades: Our crypto trading datasets include all tick-by-tick trade data, timestamped, with trade direction normalized from the taker side. Our Trade endpoints offer historical (time series) trade data for specified pairs or instruments.
Order Books: Our order book snapshots are collected through the exchanges’ REST API, capturing a complete snapshot every minute. Each snapshot provides the full order book, with full depth, directly from the exchange.
OHLCV: This data set includes five key points: Open and Close indicate the first and last price levels within a specified interval; High and Low denote the highest and lowest prices reached during that interval; and Volume reflects the total amount traded in that period.
VWAP: The volume-weighted average price (VWAP) reflects the average price of an asset, adjusted for its trading volume over a specified period. By smoothing out price fluctuations, VWAP provides traders with a clearer indication of an asset’s value adjusted for volume over a given time period.
Tickers: Tickers represent the best bids/asks from an order book. The bid price represents the maximum price that a buyer is willing to pay for an asset, while the ask price represents the minimum price that a seller is willing to accept.

Gemini Historical TWAP + VWAP Data
Gemini’s TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) and VWAP (Volume-Weighted Average Price) data provide critical insights into the average prices of assets over specific periods, adjusted for time and volume respectively. These metrics are invaluable for traders seeking to minimize market impact and execute trades more effectively.
TWAP: This metric calculates the average price of an asset over a specified time period, giving equal weight to each price point. TWAP is particularly useful for large trades executed over extended periods, helping to reduce the impact on market prices.
VWAP: This metric calculates the average price of an asset, weighted by trading volume. VWAP smooths out price fluctuations and provides a clearer indication of an asset’s value, adjusted for volume. It is often used as a benchmark for trade execution.
Our historical data for Gemini’s TWAP and VWAP goes back to 2015-10-08, offering a long-term view of market trends and price movements.
